Voter I Cards could now be obtained through online registration.  One would still have to submit hard copies with documentary proofs.

Filing FIRs is never easy. The police are reluctant to accept them as it would add to their pending cases. Each police station has to report the status of cases pending.
Now the State Police top brass seem to have issued instructions for escalating the matter in cases of reluctance by police stations to accept FIRs. Drunken Driving
Drunken driving is dangerous. It is to be avoided. However, it appears that the police take advantage of the law against drunken driving to fleece those who have imbibed alcohol within permissible limits. The standard practice is to harass drivers, asking them to leave their vehicles and find their way home. Many pay bribes and are let off.
