Where could these people go for justice?
‘The Hindu’ reports a case, and not an isolated one – most certainly, of inhuman police brutality on 23 Mar 2011, against villagers in Chhattisgarh. The name of the village is TARMETLA.
The pictures in the paper depict a horrifying story. It is astonishing that as our politicians debate what they believe are momentous matters, like Wikileaks, and sling mud at each other in “good humour”, they – the people’ servants are oblivious of such gross injustice that would shame any dictatorship in a banana republic.
That’s at the top of the country’s democratic hierarchy. Could one believe that things are any different at the state and local levels?

Is there anything the people of India could do to stop such crimes against our fellow citizens and fellow beings?
If you feel concerned, do write to say how you would like to contribute to punishing these criminals so that this does not ever happen? What justice could be done to these victims?
